What is a yearly cheap VPS used for?
For a server you create once and keep on all year, yearly billing is the most economical. Here are four common uses and the sizes that fit them.
Personal VPN and proxy
A good fit for servers that stay on for a long time, such as a personal VPN for travel or remote work, or a tunnel server linking home and office. The smallest 12GB general plan is plenty, and the generous monthly transfer even covers video streaming comfortably. Set it up once and use it on your phone and laptop for a whole year.
Small websites and blogs
Put sites you run steadily, such as a WordPress blog, portfolio or shop page, on a yearly plan. With a 12GB server, WordPress with caching runs comfortably, and the dedicated IPv4 lets you connect your domain and a free certificate right away.
Bots and automation
Great as a server that runs Telegram bots, crawlers, scheduled scripts and automation tools such as n8n nonstop. You only need to watch the billing date once a year, so the longer the job runs, the lighter the management.
Backup copies and monitoring
Good as a monitoring server that checks the health of servers in other regions, or a storage server for small backup copies. Place it in a different country from your production servers to spot outages from the outside right away, and it quietly does its job for a year with no attention needed.
How is a yearly VPS different from a monthly VPS?
Both come with root access and a dedicated IP, but their billing cycle and spec range differ. For small servers you will keep on for a long time, yearly billing fits; if you change specs often or need options, monthly billing fits.
Yearly General VPS
A server with a lower monthly equivalent cost, paid once a year
Best for
- Personal servers kept on for a year or more
- VPN, bots, small websites
- When paying every month is a hassle
- When you need generous monthly transfer
Cloud VPS
The standard server, billed for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months
Best for
- Projects that run for only a few months
- Automatic backups and extra disk options
- Bigger specs, up to 256GB memory
- Created instantly from the create page
Container VPS
A light server running as a Linux container
Best for
- When starting with the smallest 12GB server
- Test servers that start in seconds
- When giving each bot its own server
- Experiments you run briefly and delete
How do I choose a yearly cheap VPS?
First, check the memory used by the programs you will run on the server. Personal VPNs and bots are fine with the smallest 12GB general plan, and sites that use a database too, such as WordPress, are comfortable from 16GB. Since you will use the server for a year, choosing one size above what you need now means less moving partway through.
Next is transfer. Even the smallest 12GB server includes 5TB per month, and the 64GB server includes 8TB per month, so the bigger the size, the more you can send out. For outbound-heavy work such as file distribution or media servers, choosing the size by transfer is a good approach too. Transfer refills every month, so you can use the same amount evenly all year.
Finally, choose the region. Pick a city close to the country your users or you mainly connect from for faster responses. You can choose from 40 cities, so users in Korea might choose Seoul or Tokyo, and users in Europe Frankfurt or Amsterdam.
How much does a yearly VPS cost per year?
The smallest 12GB general server is $225.00 per year, and the 16GB server is $288.00 per year. The prices in the table include IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and monthly transfer, and each card also shows the monthly equivalent.
With yearly billing you pay a year's fee at once, and the monthly equivalent cost is lower in return. There is no server fee to think about for a whole year, so it suits steady, always-on uses such as personal servers and small sites especially well. If you plan to use it for only a few months, a cloud VPS billed for 1, 3 or 6 months is a better fit.
Payment is made directly with cryptocurrency. Pay the yearly fee once when you order, and pay it again a year later to renew. The minimum payment is $25, so for a small server a single payment gets your year started right away.
What should I prepare to use my server comfortably for a year?
When the server is ready, our team sends you the login details. First log in as root, change the password and add your SSH public key to the server to switch to key login, and you connect securely and easily all year. Turn on automatic security updates and even a long-running server stays up to date.
Next are the firewall and automatic service start. Open only SSH and the ports your services use, and register VPNs or bots as systemd services so they start on their own when the server restarts. Do this once and there is little to touch for the whole year.
Finally, remember your renewal date. It is one year from the day you receive the server, and if you are unsure, ask on the support page once your first payment is complete and we will tell you right away. Completing the payment before the renewal date carries the server into the next year without interruption. Keeping a copy of your config files on another server or your computer lets you restore them right away after any slip.

Yearly cheap VPS FAQ
Answers on yearly VPS pricing, billing cycle and specs
How much does a yearly VPS cost per year?
The smallest 12GB general server is $225.00 per year and the 16GB one is $288.00 per year. The amount in the table is the full yearly price.
What is the monthly equivalent?
The 12GB server is $18.75 per month equivalent and the 16GB one is $24.00. Actual payment happens once a year.
How does payment work?
When you order a 12GB general VPS for 1 year, you pay $225.00 with USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC. Pay again after a year to keep the server running.
What happens if I don't pay at the end of the year?
If you don't pay within 3 days after the year ends, the server stops and is deleted. Paying within those days restarts it for another year. Ask on the support page after your first payment to know your next payment date.
What happens to the remaining time if I cancel partway through?
Remaining time on a canceled server is not refunded. Yearly billing is designed for servers you keep on for a year, so if you plan to use it for only a few months, a VPS billed for 1, 3 or 6 months is the better choice.
Which operating systems can I use?
Choose from Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS Stream. If you need Windows, see Windows VPS; if you need to work with the kernel directly, see cloud VPS.
Can I move to a bigger size?
Order a new server in the size you want and move your data, and you get the bigger specs right away. We explain how to move on the support page after your first payment. Choosing one step larger from the start keeps the whole year comfortable.
What happens if I exceed the transfer?
The monthly transfer listed on each card refills every month. The 12GB server includes 5TB per month and the 64GB server 8TB per month, plenty for most personal servers and small sites. For work that sends out more, choose a larger size.
Can I use it as a mail server?
Port 25 for sending mail is blocked to prevent spam. Send notification emails through port 587 or 465 of an external mail sending service. Website sign-up emails are handled the same way.
How many can I create in one account?
Order as many servers as you need, each with its own billing date. You can have up to 20 orders waiting to be prepared at once. Up to 3 accounts can be created from the same IP.
