Coolify VPS hosting: easy deploys on your own server

- Same price in 40 cities
The HELPER VPS Coolify VPS is a Linux cloud server where you run the open source deploy platform Coolify yourself, billed by invoice from $25.00 per month. Choose the Docker app image (or Ubuntu) when you create the server, connect over SSH and run the official one-line install command, and you can deploy apps from Git repositories, databases and self-hosted services with a click in the web dashboard on port 8000.
What is Coolify?
Coolify is an open source self-hosting tool that turns your own server into a convenient deploy platform. Connect a Git repository such as GitHub or GitLab and it builds and deploys automatically on every push, and when you enter a domain it adds a Let's Encrypt HTTPS certificate for you. It supports Dockerfile, Docker Compose and Nixpacks builds, so you can deploy most apps, including Node.js, PHP, Python and Go.
Coolify also creates databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB and Redis with one click and can send regular backups to S3 compatible storage. Hundreds of self-hosted service templates are included, so tools such as n8n, Uptime Kuma and Plausible can be picked and deployed right from the dashboard. Coolify itself runs on Docker, and the dashboard opens on port 8000 by default.
What can I do with a Coolify VPS?
Deploy everything from personal projects to team services on one self-hosted Coolify server.
Automatic deploys on Git push
Connect a repository and Coolify builds and switches to the new version every time you push to a branch.
Create databases instantly
Create PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis and more in the dashboard, and manage connection details and backup schedules in one place.
A collection of self-hosted apps
Pick the open source apps you want from service templates and deploy them to your Coolify VPS in a few clicks.
Manage several servers together
Add other servers to Coolify over SSH and spread app deploys across several servers from one dashboard.
How do I buy a Coolify server?
From your first payment to your first deploy takes three steps.
Step 1. Choose a plan with 12 GB or more
Choose a payment method, select a city close to your users, and pick a plan with 6 vCPU and 12 GB or more.
Step 2. Create with the Docker app image
Choose Docker (or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS) as the image and a server is created, ready to install Coolify right away.
Step 3. Connect over SSH and run the command
Connect over SSH as root, run the command below, then open SERVER_IP:8000 in your browser and create the admin account.
How do I install Coolify?
Connect over SSH to a server created with the Docker app image or Ubuntu and run the official install command. The script sets up the required packages and Docker settings and starts Coolify as containers. When installation finishes, create the first admin account right away at http://SERVER_IP:8000. If you use a firewall, open ports 22, 80, 443 and 8000.
curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | sudo bashWhy install Coolify on your own VPS?
With a Coolify VPS you get the convenience of easy deploys together with the freedom of your own server.
No per-app pricing. Deploy as many apps and databases as your server can handle, and the price stays the plan price.
Your code and data are on your server. Build output, environment variables and databases are all stored on a server in the city you choose.
Deploy easily with a click. Set up repository connections, domains and even HTTPS certificates in the dashboard, spending less time on server setup.
Go deeper with root access. For anything the Coolify dashboard does not cover, log in over SSH and change Docker and system settings yourself.
Scale up to a bigger plan when needed. As your services grow, create a new server on a bigger plan, add it to Coolify and spread your apps out.
Simple payment with USDT. Sign up with a single account token and create servers by paying invoices.

Which specs should I choose for a Coolify VPS?
The official Coolify docs recommend at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB memory and a 30 GB disk. With those specs, Coolify itself and a few small apps run comfortably, and the HELPER VPS d8 plan (2 vCPU, 8 GB, 100 GB NVMe) fits exactly. Building Docker images on the server uses a lot of memory during the build, so if you deploy often, start from a 16 GB plan.
If you run several databases and self-hosted services together, a 4 vCPU, 16 GB plan gives you plenty of room. Docker images and build caches add up on disk, so choose a high-performance plan with a large NVMe disk or add an extra disk at creation. Coolify manages several servers together, so running a few small servers and spreading your apps across them works well too.
What should I set up after starting a self-hosted Coolify?
After creating the first admin account, set a domain for the dashboard in the Coolify settings so it opens over HTTPS. Then connect your repositories with a GitHub app or deploy key, create a project and enter a domain for each app, and Coolify's built-in proxy gets the certificate and connects it automatically. Point your domain's A record to the server IP in advance.
Once you create databases, turn on backup schedules and send them to S3 compatible storage for peace of mind. Using the server's automatic backups option (5.6% of the plan price) as well saves the whole server regularly too. If your apps need to send email, connect a mail sending service that uses port 587 through environment variables, and update Coolify with a single button in the settings.
Coolify hosting FAQ
Common questions when choosing and installing a Coolify VPS.
Is Coolify installed with one click on a Coolify VPS?
Create a server with the Docker app image or Ubuntu, then run the official one-line install command over SSH. Paste curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | sudo bash and installation finishes within a few minutes.
What are the minimum specs for Coolify?
Coolify officially recommends at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB memory and a 30 GB disk. At HELPER VPS we recommend starting from Dedicated CPU 8 GB (2 vCPU, 8 GB, 100 GB NVMe), and if you build on the server often, a 16 GB plan is more comfortable.
Where do I connect after installation?
Open http://SERVER_IP:8000 in your browser to see the Coolify dashboard; the first person to connect creates the admin account. We recommend connecting and creating your account as soon as installation finishes.
Which is better, the Docker app image or Ubuntu?
Both work. The install script checks for Docker and sets up what it needs, so a clean Ubuntu 24.04 or the Docker app image both start with the same single command.
How do I connect a domain and HTTPS?
Set your domain's A record to the server IP, then enter the domain starting with https in the Coolify app settings, and the built-in proxy gets and attaches a Let's Encrypt certificate automatically.
What languages can my apps be written in?
Any app with a Dockerfile or Docker Compose can be deployed, and Nixpacks builds Node.js, PHP, Python, Go, Ruby and Rust apps with no configuration. Static sites deploy as they are, too.
How do I back up databases?
In Coolify you can set a backup schedule for each database and send it to S3-compatible storage. Choose the automatic backup option when you create the server to save the whole server too, and request restores on the support page after your first payment.
Can I attach other servers to Coolify?
Yes. Add a server in the Coolify dashboard and register its SSH key, and you can deploy apps to that server too. You can create up to 10 servers per account, which makes it easy to run across several regions.
How do I update Coolify?
When a new version appears in the Coolify settings, click the update button. You can also turn on automatic updates, and running the same install command again brings it to the latest version too.
Can my apps send email?
Yes. Connect a mail sending service that uses port 587 through your app's environment variables. Coolify notification emails go out too once you enter the same SMTP details in the settings.
How do I pay for a Coolify server?
Payment for your chosen plan and period is processed immediately when you create a server. Choose 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, with 10% off for 3 months, 15% off for 6 months and 25% off for 12 months. Pay the renewal invoice before the period ends to keep your server running.
Coolify is an open source project made by coolLabs and its community, and the rights to the Coolify name and logo belong to their owner. Installing, updating and configuring Coolify and support for the apps you deploy are your responsibility. Coolify has no extra cost, and the server price is exactly the price of the plan you choose.
